Our vision is to create a world where the immense contributions of Asian talent in media, arts, and culture are celebrated and recognized globally. We aspire to be the leading platform that nurtures and showcases Asian creatives, fostering an environment where diversity is cherished and every story has the opportunity to be told. Through our efforts, we envision a future where Asian representation is not just a goal but a reality, influencing and enriching cultural landscapes worldwide.

Beyond artistic showcase, we are dedicated to addressing the social aspects of Asian representation. Through publications, panel discussions, podcasts, and documentaries, we explore and highlight the experiences and challenges faced by Asians in media and society. We also aim to conduct rigorous research to assess the actual representation of Asians, using these insights to advocate for informed change and greater inclusion.

Our Mission

Our mission is to celebrate and amplify the rich diversity of Asian talent in media, arts, and culture. We are dedicated to providing a platform for this cause. By fostering a supportive and inclusive community, we aim to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and promote greater representation and visibility of Asian people in Belgium (and beyond).

Currently we are focused on:

Being a Point of Contact: We connect Asian artists and creatives with the right organisations, offering guidance and advice when needed. Our aim is to be the go-to platform for individuals and organisations seeking Asian talent for projects or events. Ultimately, we strive to be the central hub for the Asian creative community in Belgium.
Showcasing Talent: Organising events, exhibitions, and performances that highlight the work of Asian creatives.
Dialogue and Awareness: Hosting panel discussions, podcasts and documentaries that highlight the social aspects of Asian representation.
Building Community: Creating a supportive network for Asian artists and creatives, offering opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth.
Conducting Research: Undertaking research projects to analyze the representation of Asians in media and society, using data to drive change.

By aligning our efforts with these goals, we strive to create a more inclusive and diverse cultural landscape where Asian voices are heard and celebrated.

Our Founders

We are Joni and Christopher, the dynamic duo behind ‘Asian Persuasion’. With backgrounds in performing arts, communications and event planning we are committed to promoting greater representation and visibility of Asian people in the arts and media.

Our journey began with a simple idea: to create a platform that showcases the incredible talent within the Asian community. We believe in the power of storytelling and the impact it can have on creating a more inclusive and diverse society.

Many potential partners have already recognized the great potential in our project and we are excited to build these relationships as we grow. Passion and dedication are the driving forces in everything we do and we are currently funding all our activities out of our own pockets.
